Body
A grand effort is taking shape as we're now working on a 1966 Chevy II/Nova to help with the winter blues.
Fall of 2023 - We have a new project ready to roll. These are the initial pictures on day of arrival for a 1966 Nova SS.
Wasting no time...Let's find out what we have
Overall assessment, front end looks good, trunk is pretty good, has holes in floor but rest of body is doing great
First sign of re-assembly, front mounts have been rebuilt, treated and painted.
Out with the old floors, waiting on a new piece of metal to replace the bad.
New Tin sure looks good, one piece was the way to go.
More new panels give us a sense of the stance and the work ahead. A lot of fiddling in the right rear as it was "involved" in a fender bender at some point
A bit of fiddling and some tacks and we're on track with the back panels. Looking great!
The left side was much easier than the right, less internal damage, I think this took only a few days with our new knowledge.
New door skin made some things easier, but takes time nonetheless.
The grind is real now. Pieces are all together and sanding, filling and sanding is in order.
The bulk of body is done and in primer or undercoated. things are moving very quickly and now we wait for some suspension parts.
Primer, Primer and more Primer to level it out
We needed to decide on a few color options...red, blue, or...
A little fit and finish work prior to the big spray. Jam work is almost completed!
